The idea of Spetchells Centre is to bring under one roof all the services local people need.
They include the library, police, council and much more.
Spetchells Centre is home to council services, local charities and local businesses, all providing help to people in Prudhoe.
Spetchells Centre was purpose built in 2012 with funding from Northumberland County Council and Social Investment Business.
The Centre was developed and is managed by Prudhoe Community Partnership.

Employment and Skills Advice @TheHub
Fridays – 10am – 4pm most weeks
This project seeks to bring help with employment and careers advice back into Prudhoe once again. The National Careers Service attends most weeks along with NCC – Northumberland Skills; NCC – Apprenticeships; NHS and Carers job opportunities – Volunteering in Prudhoe – looking at volunteering opportunities in the Prudhoe area.
This is a regular drop-in event, but it is possible to book an appointment with the National Careers Service adviser by ringing: 0191-731-4740
ESA@TheHub is working in partnership with The Bridge project which runs in the Spetchells at the same time.

Who meets at Spetchells Centre?
Prudhoe Patchers
A friendly self help group for Patching and Quilting
The Prudhoe Patchers meet every Wednesday at Spetchells Centre from 1.30pm-4.00pm. It is a friendly self-help group welcoming all abilities. The weekly charge of £3.50 includes coffee/tea/biscuits, use of modern machines and equipment, together with the experience of the group.
Prudhoe & District U3A
An organisation which adds to the quality of life for the semi-retired and retired members of the community. Main meetings – last Monday of the month at 10am in the Parish Hall. Committee meetings and regular Social meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at Spetchells Centre.
Community Action Northumberland
Prudhoe Employment Hub – Delivering the Bridge Project – We offer support to anyone looking to enter employment.
