Its all over for for this year. The first ever Art Trail in the North East took place on Prudhoe front Street where 18 shops displayed art by 25 local artists and create a huge buzz all week from shoppers and passers by.

Visitors came from as far afield as Ashington and Seaham to see outstanding art work and even took some home. 10 works totalling over  £1000 were purchased during the week.

As part of the fun event, there were guided walks each day. the Thursday group ( above) led by artist Carol Davison  enjoyed themselves so much that they stayed on for lunch at Balls restaurant evening. There were evening  events where artists talked about their work and painting demonstrations in the shops themselves. Emma Dickinson ( above) is painting in G&S Electricals.

The first ever Prudhoe Art Trail has really put the town on the map.
