We have just bought new tables and exhibition screens for the meeting rooms at Spetchells Centre thanks to a surprise donation made in memory of Estelle O’Leary, who greatly admired Prudhoe’s community spirit.
After 7 years intensive use, the old tables were broken and dangerous and cumbersome. The new ones look just the same but are easy to move and allow the room to be arranged in different ways. We have also bought some small round tables for informal ‘café style’ meetings.
The exhibition screens will make it much easier to mount exhibitions which we hope to do more in the future. And both rooms will get a lick of paint too.
We are very proud of Spetchells Centre and want to keep it in tip top condition for use by local people.
